From model review to bend data

Import Model recognizes supported hollow and solid stock, lets you review the manufacturing path and centerline, and sends an editable XYZ copy into the existing BS Tube XYZ/LRA workflow.

In this video, we import a square-tube STEP model with a miter-cut end into BS Tube. After BS Tube recognizes the tube and extracts its centerline, we change the manufacturing endpoint reference from the center of the miter cut to the end of the part. This allows the generated tube data to use the required overall endpoint location.
In this video, we import a STEP model into BS Tube that contains a port that is not part of the main manufacturing tube path. Using Exclude Tube Sections, we remove the port from the selected path and allow BS Tube to analyze the continuous tube geometry for centerline extraction and manufacturing data.
In this video, we import a round-tube STEP model with smashed, formed ends into BS Tube. BS Tube recognizes the main tube geometry while keeping the formed end treatments separate. We then review the displayed manufacturing endpoints and select the correct Start and Finish Ends before generating manufacturing data.
BS Tube identifies supported stock dimensions, proven hollow walls or solid sections, straights, bends, CLR, manufacturing ends, and local profile regions. Formed and treated ends can be reviewed when automatic endpoint interpretation requires confirmation.
Proven reducers, expanders, multiple OD regions, and different starting and ending diameters can remain one continuous manufacturing centerline. Profile changes do not create false bends when the centerline direction remains unchanged.
Select Tube Path, Exclude Tube Sections, Set Start End, Set Finish End, and Manufacturing Review provide controlled correction when attached ports, unwanted features, or ambiguous endpoints need input. Individual bodies and components can be analyzed while other model geometry remains available as reference.
Supported models can produce a validated centerline, XYZ points, CLR values, centerline length, and transfer to XYZ/LRA. When a round path contains several ODs, its centerline and XYZ can transfer while the single downstream OD field remains for the user to confirm.
Import Model focuses on tube-industry geometry that can be reduced to a validated centerline and supported stock profile. This includes straight and bent hollow tube, constant-cross-section rod and bar, proven multi-OD round tube paths, formed or treated ends that can be established or reviewed, and attached features that can be isolated from the manufacturing path.
Arbitrary freeform solids, unresolved branching paths, incomplete or ambiguous profiles, unsupported changing solid cross-sections, and geometry that cannot produce a reliable manufacturing centerline remain outside automatic support.

Recognition needs review when the manufacturing path or endpoints are ambiguous. Send diagnostics to support when a model cannot be analyzed as expected.
